Health connector terms
The sho health connector brings your own health records from your provider’s patient portal (Epic MyChart) into sho on your own Mac. By connecting it, you agree to these terms.
Updated October 3, 2026
What it does
It reads your records through the SMART on FHIR standard: your profile, visits, results and observations, medications, reports and documents. It only reads. It never writes to or changes anything in your provider’s, Epic’s or MyChart’s systems.
You connect it yourself, with your own portal sign-in. It is for a patient connecting their own records.
Where your records go
Your records download to your own Mac: first into a local health archive, then into your local sho. sho does not receive or keep your health records on any sho server. The connection’s access tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain on your Mac.
Within sho, only you and the agents you set up can read them. If you ask an AI assistant, such as Claude, a question that uses your records, the relevant records are sent to that assistant’s provider to answer it, and that provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
Keeping and removing your records
Your records stay on your Mac until you delete them. You can disconnect at any time in MyChart, or by removing the connection’s items from your Keychain. Fetching stops once you disconnect; records already on your Mac stay there until you delete them.
Your part
Keep your Mac, your portal sign-in and your Keychain secure. The connector shows your records as your provider holds them. It is not medical advice; for medical decisions, talk to your care team.
No warranty
The connector is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Sho Intelligence, Inc. is not liable for losses arising from its use, from your provider’s records, or from an AI assistant you choose to use.
Changes and questions
If these terms change, we update this page and its date. Using the connector after a change means you accept the updated terms. Email hello@sho.md with a question. For how sho.md handles visits and messages, see Privacy.
